Every nursing student embarks on a journey where today’s learning becomes the foundation for tomorrow’s leadership. Leadership in nursing encompasses the ability to influence and guide others, particularly within a health-care team, to achieve shared goals and improve patient outcomes; it involves inspiring, motivating, and empowering staff to work collaboratively, utilising critical thinking and effective communication to achieve predetermined objectives. Strong leadership in nursing is essential for enhancing the quality of health care, patient outcomes, staff morale, supportive work environment, innovations and staff retention. A good leader needs special skills like good communication, active listening, problem-solving, collaboration, teamwork. Good leadership heavily depends on teamwork, too. A leader's teamwork attitude is strongly and positively correlated with their leadership effectiveness. The leadership skills gained through training positively impacts their leadership ability, performance and career progression of nurses.
